So much frustration....(very long sorry)

OK I haven't been having the best week....I don't know what the deal is...
It started at work....I haven't been able to focus and have been making stupid mistakes...so I have been kinda bummed about that...
I have been trying to figure out the best way to handle my kids spring schedule cause both of thier coachs (softball and baseball) added and extra day to practice and changed thier practice days all together...so now 2 days a week they have practice at the same time....
Then this morning a checked the messages and there is one from family housing...rent wasn't taken out of my husbands check....well this is what happened:
Back when we first moved last summer the Air Force did not adjust my hubby's pay...now granted I should have noticed this but I was in the middle of moving across country...the bills were all being paid automatically and I was slacking on balancing the checkbook....I know I was wrong...
Anyway my hubby got home from training in september and brought it to the finance offices attention turns out we owed about $2000 which they said we could pay on a payment plan...great right?
Well turns out last month they decided they were just going to collect everything that everyone owed them...and based on my husband's salary they figured he could afford it. Now I have a problem with that cause 1) they don't know what our budget looks like at home, 2) we wouldn't have done a payment plan if we could pay it all at once, 3) they took his BAH...which to me means that technically he couldn't afford it
OK so fine that is $2000 that I didn't plan on not having....well I also had to turn in my son's re-enrollment packet for school and I forgot that they need a $500 deposit and $145 for the tuition insurance. Well I forgot to budget for that too...again I know it is my fault....
so now that is $2645 that we don't have all cause of mistakes I made :-(...
I called Roman's school and they said they would hold the checks until I get paid next week....and the housing office said we can pay them next week...which helps...but darn it I was frustrated and upset....and I snapped at my husband....
I apologized but then I get a lecture from him about how do I expect him not to worry while he is gone (he will be gone for 6 weeks) when I let myself get all frustrated over my "little" work problems and then allow things like the issue with money push me over the edge...
Seriously...I said I wanted to go home and cry....which I think was a legitmate feeling...and he made me feel even worse....
I did manage to figure out the money thing...and I know work will get better...but he really upset me...

I love you Robin :-) He talked to finance and apprently that is how things are done now.... I understand that he is worried about being gone...but geesh I think I should get cry at least once.... he is leaving sunday he will be back on Apr 17th for 4 weeks then he is gone again until Jul 9th
Not to knock ur hubby or anything but it was his check....I mean why didnt he noticed that he was getting over paid....u had to maintain a whole household/plan a move across the country while he was down here at Maxwell so he can cut you a little slack...dont blame yourself the military is supposedly(sp) on top of everything so why would you think to question his pay.....dnt worry hun you are doing a great job we all have slip ups..I promise things will get better <3
Yeah....I would have mentioned that to him...but the answer would have been that I handle the finances so I should have caught it...

I have been there and done that last month I forgot to pay the Mortgage I mean I went online to pay it and forgot to hit the final button I guess , I had it in the register which means I did balance the check book but I forgot to hit send I also did the same thing for the utilities..So don't be so hard on yourself it happens. I beat myself up for about 5 minutes but then firgured hey at least I did put the amounts in the register and balanced the account so I just paid double this month and balanced in the late fees. I am sure you are doing a great job. Keep your head up...Smile

I thought that finance was no longer taking out all of the money that was owed them in one paycheck? What the hell happened to that? I know when I came out of training they took all that was owed them (after my divorce) and it left me with $5 for the pay period. I couldn't even eat at the chow hall on that!
I would go to his shirt and talk to him and see what can be done. That is ridiculous.
And it's also ridiculous for Brian to be so upset about you forgetting a couple of things. How many times has he been gone? You are one of the most organized and on top of things people that I know.
Hang in there, sweetie - it will get better!
