Netflix saves us at least $100 a month. We LOVE movies. We get 3 movies for $16.99, with a 2 day turn around. We also watch the instant movies regulary...right now we are into the first 2 season of "Weeds", The Wire, Big Love & other movies. We don't end up spending money on concessions at the theater OR at Blockbusters check out line.popcorn

We don't buy single serving items because the price is bulked up. Even on something as simple as gum we buy in bulk. I love Cost-co.

I buy mostly raw materials since I'm a SAHM I have more time to cook dinner. So hardly any prepackaged meals.

We dont get cable because the computer and Netflix take care of all our media entertainment needs. (That saves a nice monthly cable bill)

When we eat out hubby and I share the same drink. Yeah thats just $1.50-$2 but every dollar counts. And we enjoy eating out..its one of our splurges.

I work out so instead of a gym membership I spent $200 on a used Elliptical Machine from Craigslist. treadmillI would have paid that much in initiation fees at most gyms. Plus I don't have to drive to a gym so I save gas.

We also only drive one car. So the other car doesn't even have insurance. We keep it updated but thats it. Its an old car that would only get liability so its not hurting anyone sitting there, lol.

My dd's clothes come from Kid to Kid and Once Upon a Child...I have never spent over $4 on her clothes and she always looks gorgeous! Also lots of clothes from our family.

The Library and Half Price Books are awesome!! I don't buy from the retail giants anymore. If the library and Half Price dont have it, Amazon used books does.

We breastfeed exclusively so thats free! breastfeedingI am about to make dd's baby food. That will be about $10 a month to feed her.

Thats all I can think of! I'll add more when I remember.

Great! Informative and very helpful! Yeah, all moms need to be resourceful and thrifty in different ways.
