Well as you may or may not know Chuck Liddell is part of the UFC and is an amazing fighter.  I went to High School with him and remember him very well from wrestling.  Robert, his friends, my friend Angie and her hubby and Robert's sister and hubby and other brother Chris are all fans of UFC fighting and Chuck Liddell.  So, the other day Robert was in our little shopping mall and saw Chuck at La Salsa.  Now being that Santa Barbara has and brings many celebs, Robert is very good at not invading their space.  So, in passing Robert says, "Hey, I'm a big fan, just thought I'd say hi.", he grunts and not so much as lifts his face from his food to even acknowledge Robert.  Robert wasn't being invasive or fanatical, just cool about it respecting his space.  I was so disappointed that Chuck couldn't even have the common decency to say hello to someone giving him love.  Robert said he WAS a fan, but not after how he treated him.  Sometimes fame and pride can inflate someone's ego so much that they think they are too good to even pay someone a little attention, to be kind to his or her fellow man.  It is very sad, because in the end fame and fortune will be destroyed and our faith and how we treated people...our character and heart is all we have left!  And that is how we will be judged when that day comes.  I always find a person who has fame and fortune who is still humble to be appealing.

I have no clue who that is....but too bad your husband was disappointed.

Sometimes, I wonder if it's pride on my part to even expect a reply sometimes....ya know? That happened to me recently when I said something to someone...and I didn't get the response that I had thought would come...it was just a simple hello...and nuthin! (in a nutshell....) : )  and it left me checking myself.....

Humility is certainly appealing and when it's encountered, it cannot be denied! : )

Well given his partying lately it doesnt surprise me.  Wow Im not surprised and I would have been pissed if all I was trying to do was show I care and got that response.  What a meanie. his lifestyle lately has kinda turned me off to him anyways.

I didn't know he was partying a lot these days.  His attitude was really disappointing that is for sure.

wow that is kinda bothersome, I would be annoyed and we are huge fans of UFC and my family is involved in martial arts, for some reason though I am almost not shocked I have seen first hand how the subject of fighting can make a person prideful. I agree though that one day he will be accountable for that and I would definately pray for him, he may have nobody praying for him for that specific reason may that is why God allowed that incident to happen as weird as it may sound just so he can be prayed over :) He sounds like he really needs a humbling experience, LOL. big smile mini
