As women we tend to juggle many things at once. We have our household, spouse/significant other, children, career, elderly parents, community service and the list could go on and on and on. We live very transitional lives. Because we are everything to so many people we find it difficult to enjoy a totally balanced life.
It is important to step off the life train and assess where you are, what you need to improve and where you need to go next. For years I've stepped off that train, looked around and got back on. There was no one there no signs telling me what station I was at, no conductor to greet me and no schedule board to let me know where the next stop would be. Why should you get off your life train and assess your life? What is the point if you know that your problem is that you are just "too busy"? You should get off that life train because there is a stop that has a MAP available for you to follow. There are coaches instead of conductors at the stop that will help you with your baby steps towards a balanced life. The MAP that you will follow will help you along each day of your life.
Having a balanced life is like riding on a train with well oiled wheels, like cooking a large meal with all the burners burning hot, like going on vacation and the weather is beautiful everyday.
I took the Compass Life Track Online Assessment and realized that the area of my life that is "off balance" is personal wellness. Because of that simple test I am currently consciously working on my personal wellness by working out everyday and remembering to take my awesome vitamins. I look forward to the results and the much needed balance and energy it will bring. Once I knew where I was, I then had to figure out how to get to the next stop and the stop after that. We all may know where we are but if your life is still unbalanced then you still need the necessary MAP to get to the next place/level. In addition to my wellness I continue to work on improving myself in all areas, you can't let the rest your development slack either because in order to maintain balance you need to continue to work on self improvement. Self improvement is like getting your house cleaned. You tackled the problem areas but you have to straighten up everyday to maintain the proper order of things.
I encourage you to take this quick life assessment questionnaire and determine where you are and what you need to get where you need to go next. There is a MAP available for you to follow on your self improvement journey just like it is for me and thousands of other women.
I shared with you what my assessment said about me. What does your assessment say about you?
