vacation.. what vacation?

I was so excited to arrive in FL Thursday night, I really was, but now I wish we would have just stayed in KY. I just don't know what else could go wrong to be honest.

Friday started out as a good day. We hung out with MIL and Becka had a blast at the parks we went to. We saw a good friend of ours, Daniel, and I was going to head up to my mom's house (1 hour away) for a visit later that evening. I was suppose to arrive around 6 pm. That never happened because we lost my car key! We looked EVERYWHERE. Or so we thought. We found it at 930pm that night, in a pretty obvious spot that NONE of us thought to look lol! Gah, it was annoying.

THEN Alex went out with Daniel to a bar and had a few too many drinks. Daniel was suppose to drive home, but they called me and said "in an hour can you come get us". I said sure, and then called back 50 min later to see if they were ready. I was told to go to bed, and they would take a cab. I should have just picked them up.

Somehow from the paying the cab driver, to walking to our front door, Alex lost his wallet. He called the cab company, they don't have it. He called the bar, they don't have it. We have searched this house, inside and out, and it is NOWHERE to be found. It is gone. He remembers paying the cab driver, and pulling out his wallet. The only explanation is that the cabbie had another fare after Alex and Danierl who took Alex's wallet. Both Alex and Daniel remember Alex taking the wallet out of his pocket and paying the cab driver. Neither of them remember anything after that. :(

So not only is our bank car, his military id, driver's license, ssc, gov't travel card, and other misc items GONE with his wallet. So is ALL of our trip money. We put aside 400 dollars for this trip, that we pulled out of our tax money and put it safely away for this trip! It's all GONE. We made sure we could afford this trip and now, because of this, we can't! I mean, this is awful. To top it off, IF Alex can't replace his MIL ID at the base here, we will have to leave early otherwise he can't go to work!

So today is spent doing everything! We have to cancel our cards, call the Social Security Fraud Hotline, get a new license, etc... How fun does that sound? Wonderful thing to do on a VACATION! 

I am so glad we don't have to pay for a hotel room, or food, otherwise we would be so screwed. I am just so stressed right now, but his parents are awesome! They are being so wonderful through this right now. I am just so mad at man kind. I hate people. If someone wanted to steal the money from his wallet, so be it, but leave the fucking wallet. That just makes things so much worse!

I feel bad for him too, because he is so pissed off at himself and it's making him very unhappy. :( Poor guy is beating himself up over it!

To add to this *fantastic* vacation my sister has pissed me off. I am so done with her, I wish I could just say *fuck it* and ignore her, but I can't because I care about her and her son!

I hope the rest of the week goes ok. Things couldn't possibly get worse huh?

wow that sucks! Make sure you guys get some fun in and don't let this totally ruin your vacation. You deserve some fun after all this BS!

Wow, I'm going to go ahead and say the cabbie took it. Just cuz.

I'm am sorry your trip has taken such a bad turn!!!

But yeah, It can only get better right? Especially if you expect it to be so.

Man! So sorry to hear that, I had a few vacations that ended like that before. So not cool. Weird the way things happen in life and it's timing. I hope you two are able to enjoy the rest of your vacation, have a safe trip back home, and hopefully a miracle will happen and the wallet will pop up out of nowhere like the keys did. Best of luck to you. Take care and try not to stress as much, although I know thats easier said than done.
