Arizona is hurting Special Needs Kids.

Arizona has cut funding to EI programs for kids under 3 who are not on long term care. They are removing vital services for children who need it most. I am disgusted by this. They can blow money on all kinds of nonsense then just rob it from babies who need it most. I feel for the parents battling this and plan to help as much as I can. I do not live in Arizona but this injustice can not be allowed. These children are facing a hardship that will impact their futures.

They should really be ashamed of themselves!!  You know there has got to be something less important that they could cut instead!

I agree...There is plenty pork barrel spending that could be cut. But no...Cut it from the people who need it most. Makes me so sick!

I'm wondering how they can justify "No Child Left Behind" when they are doing this?  Studies have shown that early intervention is SO important!!

This is so very sad to me.  It hits so close to home.  My Michael was in Early Intervention here in PA.  Its such a great, and greatly NEEDED program for so many infants/toddlers.  If it wasn't for EI I am positive my family would be in horrid shape right now.  My son is now in the next phase, 3-5 CIU and its been such a blessing.  We as a family have learned so much, and continue to get answers to questions and things that we can do with a "special needs" child in the community.  This is such a shame to hear about.
