My Little Ian (Update)

I just wanted to vent - I am so sad.  I sit here on my couch writing this with tears in my eyes!! 
My little Ian monster is in the hospital!  Yea I know you are probably wondering why I am at home while he is in the hospital - I have a 4 month old that I have to stay home with becasue I am breastfeeding him.  So daddy is at the hospital with Ian.  I will go down in the morning once my family is able to come stay with Landon!  I just don't know what to do for Ian!  I feel so helpless, and its killing me knowing how unhappy (sad) he is!  He has gone through so much tonight. He has X-Rays, Blood work, Cultures...  And now has an IV hooked to fluid, two anti's, and something for his cough.  It just kills me to hurts to look at him.
I knew he was not feeling well last night.  He did not sleep well he was up and down all night long running a fever!  I was able to give him tylonal to break the fever last night, and during the day!!  I couldnt get him into the clinic tell Tuesday so I was just trying to keep him going tell then.  All he did was lay on the couch, not sleeping but just laying.  I couldnt get him to take any fluids towards the end of the day, and I as not able to get him to eat anything at all!  Well this evening after getting him ready for bed I noticed that his lips looked a little purple/blue so then I took his temp he was at 102.5 (this was an hour after having some tylonal) so I waited a little longer cuddeling with him under the blankets making sure he was staying warm then I took his temp again it was at 102.4 so then we decided we best just take him into the ER! Once we got to the ER they did all of the tests on him, and it came back postive for RSV! *CRY* It just killed me to hear those words!!!  So then the Dr told me they needed to admit him into the hospita!!  Jon and I had a long talk, and a hard choice to make with who was going to stay with him overnight!  Being he needs to work in the morning, and we have Landon!  We figured it would be best, and easiest if Dad stayed the night, and mom gos up during the day! 
I did not want to leave my little monsters side, and he did not want me to leave!  I have never heard him cry 'mommy, momma, mamma' so sadly like he did tonight!!  I broke my heart!! 
He didnt want to let go of me, and I did not want to let go of him!!  My poor baby!! 
This is the second time he has spent the night in a hospital!!
Last Febuary we were out of town (3 hours away) and we were getting ready to head home...  well then he started vomiting in the back seat (hitting us in the front) he wasnt stopping!!  So we rushed him down to the ER, and they had us all spend the night in the ER with him hooked to an IV.  They never did figure out what was wrong with him then, took about 2 weeks before he was back to normal.
I feel so bad.  This hole time I thought he just has a simple cold, then he started running the fevers so I was a little worried about it - I am just sad!!  He has had a cold for about 2 weeks. I just hope that he has not had RSV very long!! 
I pray my Ian gets healthy soon!  Its so hard!!
They are saying he could be there in the hospital from 2-5 days!
My aunt (more like my mom - its his grandma) is going to spend some time with him tomorrow so I can come home and disinfect everything.  She is going to talk to the DR at that time while she is there to see if they will let him come home if he gos out to her house, or if Landon gos out to her house for a few days - she is an RN, and is close to the hospital staff although she no longer works!  So I pray they let my little guy out of the hospital, we will just see!!  I want the best for him though - just hate seeing him there!!

Well thank you ladys for reading my sad vent!  Just had to get it all out..  I am going crazy here!!  I am so lonly just having Landon and I at home - I miss the crazyness Ian brings to our home!

I hope I can get a little rest tonight - I doubt it but I am going to try!

Well Ian had a bad night!  He didnt sleep at all, and his IV misfunctioned!  He ended up getting his IV removed it was causing his arm to swell so they has to take it out!  They have not been able to put another back in yet!  He is curantly sleeping, and has been for a couple hours now!  I am just getting ready to head down there to be with him.  I was able to get some sleep, but not much!  Landon woke up in the night with a cough, and has had a little bit of a cough so far today!  I pray he dos not get this!!  Thank You ladys for all your support!  I will keep updating this as time gos on!  *HUGS*

Since Landon is only 4 months, I would call the dr asap to see if they want to test him. It would be so much better to get him started on antibiotics now rather than later.

As the mom of two boys, it seems like they are always passing things back and forth. I hope your little one recovers quickly!

Im so sorry Ian is going through this.  I agree with tomatoqueen... see if you can get Landon tested. I wish I could offer more words of comfort! I hope Ian comes home & is happy & healthy soon. Keep us posted.
