Landon is at it again.  I thought our hydration woes were behind us.  I was doing happy dances that he was drinking 28, 32, even 40 oz of liquid a day.  He was even drinking...ready for this?........WATER!  It HAD to come out of the through the door dispenser on the refrigerator, and he HAD to SEE it come out, but he was drinking it, nonetheless.  He even learned to use a straw!!!!!!
This went on for the better part of a week.  I was breathing a sigh of release.  My baby is drinking PLENTY and I don't have to worry about hydration.  He's doing GREAT.
It has all come to a screaching halt.  He's back to not wanting to drink hardly anything, REFUSING anything through a straw, and wanting to eat very dry foods.  He loves freeze dried peas, bananas and strawberries, as well as raisins and other sun dried fruits.  He is insisting on 1-2 pieces of rice bread per day.  He eats a banana every day for breakfast, and then the rest of what he eats depends upon what I have.
Today, I don't think he drank even 14oz all day long.  He at tons of dry things, bread, animal crackers, freeze dried veggies, mac & chreese (gluten, milk and soy free), raisins, etc.  I know the raisins had some moisture, but not nearly enough.
I don't know how much of a roller coaster I can take.  I had gotten used to him not drinkin, and adjusted his diet accordingly, so as to maintain appropriate hydration.  Then, he started drinking, a lot, and I got used to it, and was happy.  He was like a NORMAL kid.  Now we're right back to not drinking and its time for another diet overhaul.
UUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This sounds like a sensory problem.  You can get creative and try things like jello sandwiches and pedia sure chocolate milk.  Good luck.  p.s. Nick does not drink out of a straw either.

Is Landon allergic to soy??  They do have soy yogurts/ icecreams.  Have you tried ice chips, or smoothies with a spoon?  Good luck girl!!
