It seems that once again homeschooling is being attacked. This is just crazy!!

Maybe I read this wrong. When the judge says " public school will challenge the ideas you taught them
", It makes me wonder if the husband feels his children are being fed wrong views. Just because the kids are smart does not mean she may not be hindering them psychologically. My thought is that is what they are preventing by making the kids attend homeschooling.
Anytime a judge rules a parent cant homeschool its not a good thing. I do hope hslda gets involved. While I can not stand anyone thinking they have the right to have their nose it my busines it annoys me.
My kids are highly intellegent and are doing very well with homeschool. I homeschool daily. I do have friends that "homeschool" mabie 1 or 2 times a week. To me that is when I wish the state would step in. JMO
I think that everyone has their own way of homeschooling. What works for one child may not work for another. There are so many benefits to being able to be homeschooled. I think it's so much better for my children. They get the time and attention that they need. They are very social and well rounded children. I think that parents should have the right to choose what is best for their children without anyone stepping in. I also think that the reason this is becoming such an issue is because of the money the state gets for children being in school.
The judge has said the mother had done a good job homeschooling them. If the children were in public school and failing, would the judge order to parents to homeschool them? Why change something that is successful?
P.S. Maybe he means "challenged" like getting bullied, shaken down for their lunch money, swirlies in the toilet, shoved into a locker, watching the other kids suck face in the hall, getting their bra straps snapped, and all those other lovely things that go on in school.
I wish I could edit, when I said my friend only does it 1 or 2 times a week, I meant I wish someone would look in on them because her state has NO regulations and her daughter is 10 and cant read, and barely can add small numbers.

There's no way that judge has legal ground to stand on. I hope she contacts the HSLDA and takes him on. It's clearly a case of a disgruntled husband and the judge is siding with him.
Anyone who homeschools should be a member of the HSLDA. Here's a link to their website: http://www.hslda.org/
This is the link to find your state:
