Okay so Tuesday night I was up all night with contractions that I was trying to chalk off as gas.....at 10:00 am Wednesday they were getting pretty bad so we went to the hospital. I wasn't dialating so they sent me home on Niphedipine 20 mgs every 8 hours round the clock! Well, they really didn't do much so when I called the next day they said to up the dosage to every 6 hours!
I did and even though she told me to lay down I went to work! Well I struggled through work with contractions and called them on my way home they said to come in!
Went in to Magee again, and they pretty much said there wasn't much they could do for me becaue I am not dialating (which I was and am thankful for) they up'ed my dosage to every 4 hours which is max, unless I stat to dialate they can't do much more....So he said you now have the hard job of determining between these contractions that aren't doing anything and ones that do....which is an impossible task. So I am nervous now! If I do start to dialate the meds they would use can cause heart problems for the baby. They also said possibly doing an amniocentisis to check for infection and if there is an infection we will have to discuss delivery!
I am only 26 weeks (tomorrow) so that was not something that I wanted to hear! So my goal along with theirs is to get me to 32 weeks! So I could use everyones' prayers
Comments:
