Wonderful Bridal Fair @ the Oceano Hotel & Spa

First of all....thanks to everyone who joined us for the Oceano Hotel and Spa Bridal Fair on Sunday March 1st, 2009. What a super fab event with lots of great wedding information, and uniquely cool wedding professionals. The Oceano Hotel and Spa is just such a lovely location for any event, and thanks to Brian Orlov Photography - you too can watch a beautiful slide show of the Oceano Bridal Fair. (We were lucky enough to have our Savvy Skirts booth right next to them!).

Savvy Skirts was displaying custom wedding and event invitations at the show (sorry online fans - we are currently only showcasing and taking orders for paper invitations in our boutique - but we do carry all the event favors online!). We also had the opportunity to work with Ornamento and help adorn their beautiful floral and themed place settings with our place card settings and favors, like our ever so popular shell place card holders, mini candle lanterns, shining sails place card holders and matching glass sailboat tea lights. Staying with the beach theme, we once again had the pleasure of working with Sand Scribbles. Not only do we carry their unique handwritten message cards in our boutique, people are just amazed when we tell them about their custom birth, wedding and new home announcements (they even do corporate logos in the sand!!).

Michele from Flora & Fauna of Half Moon Bay had some of the most beautiful flower arrangements, some of which included brussels sprouts and rosemary! And oh my - the red velvet cupcakes from That Takes the Cake in San Francisco were just out of this world (ok - yes I had more than one...and I am still thinking about them now). To add to the decadance, we sampled lovely chocolates from Xocolat, and stared in amazement at the beautiful and delicious cheesecakes from Elegant Cheesecakes (how does she do it??). Good thing that Carla from Mizu Salon was there to make everyone look sensational with her Aveda skin care and makeup line. She also did the hair and makeup for the Maggie Sottero bridal fashion show. This wonderful event was planned by event coordinator Janet Lash from AVSO, with some super support from Sally at Sally Steele Weddings. Look forward to next year's event!
