I was fired from my job!!

I toook this from another board I post on. I just want to know if anyone here has any advice for me. I am so distraught right now. There are NO jobs around here, I am really hoping that I will be able to get unemployment.

Ok so I got fired yesterday and I cant believe it. I was helping out in the lab yesterday and didnt know what the hell I was doing but I was trying none the less. I was called into the office and they said that my patient felt uncomfortable because I was unable to use the EKG machine and had to call for help. I was told to call for help because the person that works the lab was gone for an U/S. They told me to call her and have her walk me through it so I did.

Well the thing is, the person that told me to call the other person said that she didnt. And they said that I recieved a personal phone call and had a long conversation. This is so not true. They asked for my phone so they could see the calls and I gladly handed it over to them.

Just to give you a little background everyone was given a final written warning on 2/26/2009 about cell phones. The only reason we got these warnings was because one of the higher ups got in trouble for making me see ALL of her patients while she was playing on facebook. We were verbally told that the reason we were getting them was that sicne Crystal got in trouble they were going to start cracking down on us. We were never given any other warning, this was the first one.

This is exactly what my termination papers say:

Description on Infraction-On 2/26/2009 Jennifer recieved a final written warning stating that cell phones MAY NOT be used during business hours. Today 3/9/2009, a patient from Vivus 302 complained that Jennifer answered her cell phone while conducting an EKG. This is cause for termination.

I NEVER recieved any call all morning long. I was fired at 12:00. I have my phone records to prove that I never recieved any call so I have already filed for unemployment. Who knows if it will go through or not though. I think it should since I have proof that I did not recieve any call to be answered which is why they fired me.

Do any of you have any advice for me? I have only been fired one other time and it was BS too, I got unemployment then.

Ok so you all know that I was fired from my job on Monday. Well yesterday I got a card in the mail stating that my dental and health insurance was cancelled effective March 1st. I dont understand how they did this. I would have thought that they would have had to at least cover me on my insurance until the day I was terminated?? I called the insurance company and inquired about this and they said that the only way for this to happen is for my employer not to pay my premium. I told them that I was still an employee of the company until March 9th and that I had went to the doctor on March 4th. They looked up my policy and said that it is still active. I had an appointment for a well woman visit (pap and all that) for today that I had thought about cancelling but they said that I could still go and the insurance would still have to cover it. Well woman visits were paid 100% on this policy and I dont have to pay anything for it. So of course I still went. I cant pass that up ya know. I just dont understand why they would try to cancel my insurance out a full week before I was fired?? Anyone have any insight??
