Helping Others ~ Helping Myself

I recently read a web article that contained a court document that expressed many professional opinions and comments from docs, that when the brain scans (such as MRI, CaT, EEG) show normal results for a child suspected of having Autsim, that it is true Autism. Can Autism not be detected on a scan? Is it THAT big of a mystery? If brain scans come back showing neurological damage, does that confirm there IS a reason for the delays/disorders and then it becomes a medical reason and not necessarily Autism. Confused yet?  These questions entered my mind after I read this court document.

In this court document, a doc explains how a child diagnosed with PDD-NOS purportedly caused by his MMR shot, that it isn't truly Autism because the child has a "reason" for having PDD-NOS... demeyelinization of nerves caused by the toxicity (or reaction) to the vaccine is his conditio, but yet, they still won't take responsibilty for possibly causing it.

I think this is how Big Pharm doesn't admit that vaccines cause Autism... it's a loop hole.  Some children react to vaccines and as a result, have a developmental delay or spectrum disorder, and our society is quick to categorize it as Autism, when in fact (according to neurologists) it's a medical condition, and not Autism. But yet, aren't they still to blame??  We didn't have this problem years ago when we were getting immunized.. why are we having these problems today??

I know this sounds confusing.  It's a long court document, but you can read it here:

Age of Autism - Bailey Banks

There is fascinating information and detailed findings for those tyring to figure out if their child presents as Autistic or not and if it could be related to vaccines. It is long and full of medical jargon, but a lot of good points are made too.

(excerpt from the document)
I. FACTUAL RECORD

Despite their accord on certain factual predicates contained in Bailey’s medical records, there is, unsurprisingly, a pronounced conflict between the parties as to the following issues: whether a biologically plausible link exists between ADEM and pervasive developmental delay (PDD) in a direct chain of causation, whether Bailey did in fact suffer from ADEM, and ultimately whether the administration of the MMR vaccine to Bailey actually caused ADEM which would then cause PDD that currently besets Bailey today. Considering these disputes and the Court’s commission to resolve them, it behooves the Court to explain the legal standard by which factual findings are made...

Please read this section of the document: 2. John MacDonald  This sections goes into detail some of the symptoms and how they happen when someone experiences ADEM (Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis)

Further into the document it states:

“I can find no literature relating ADEM to autism or pervasive developmental disorder, and by its nature ADEM is a primary demyelinating disorder of the nervous system....PDD is a problem with the neurons, not the white matter of the brain, so it doesn't make sense that autistic children would have had a demyelinating disorder before. In fact, MRI scans [that] have been done repeatedly in children with PDD/autism don't show demyelination, so there is no connection. Even if one believes the child has ADEM, there is no connection to the diagnosis of PDD.”

Basically, Autism is not necessarily detected by a brain scan... but other similar disorders could be if it is caused by medical negligence, brain anomaly or severe reaction to vaccines/pharmaceuticals and these disorders are similar to Autism.  Is this what I'm understanding?

** Of course, this is my conclusion based on my interpretation of what I read.  If I am wrong, I would love the information to understand it better.

The bottom line is... the MMR vaccine most likely caused this little boy's PDD and other medical problems... but the docs have a way of arguing it and saying that it is coincidence.

*Should every child be subjected to an MRI at 6 month intervals to prevent this kind of medical BS in the event he/she has a reaction to the vaccines??
*How are we to fight this if we know in our heart of hearts that some of our children are being damaged by the bombardment of vaccines?
*Maybe it doesn't show up as fast in some as it does others... how can we build a foundation of proof when the medical world is constantly contradicting it?!

*How can we know in advance if a child is prone to reaction? Is there an advanced test??  I sure would've like to have known before my son received HIS MRI and then suffered spectrum symptoms!
*Is there a way to have our children protected from these deadly diseases without the possibility of suffereing neurological damage in the process??

I am more confused than ever now.... and more ticked off at our medical community for not caring about the possible dangers and trying to alleviate them.  Instead, they spend bigger bucks on arguing the facts and blaming everything/everyone BUT the manufacturers of pharmaceuticals.

Will they EVER admit that there might be a correlation between Autism/ASD and Vaccines?

I honestly don't think that vaccines are fully to blame... I believe becasue that women are having children older and well in to their 30's and 40's is a huge factor with kids having autism and developmental delays... check it out...

I don't know if we will ever fully know what the real problem is, but I am sure it is a combination of things like age, our diet....so much of our food is processed, and the milk we have... I don't even want to start on that! LOL

I agree with you about our processed and poisonous food supply, and the flouridated water.. I know, I could also go on and on.  But, one thing that bugs me.. my son was progressing normally, and then lost language and all social skills for a period of 7-8 mos... this happened shortly after his MMR. (which he was my only child out of 4 that had any kind of a reaction to immunizations other than a slight fever.)  He slept a lot for 10 days, had a fever and rash, and then seemed to slowly, but  progressively lose his skills.

I am fortunate to say, he has made a full recovery, except for the language delay, but that is coming back by leaps and bounds.  It just boggles my mind the "coincidences".  Oh, and he has no food allergies, nor illnesses.  He did have jaundice and was readmitted for 3 days, but he still progressed normally and hit every milestone early or on time afterward.

I still think there is some kind of common factor here... it also happened to a friend of mine that is only in her late 20's (and many other young mothers, under 30).  It's not just an age thing.  My daughter was born when I was 38, and is perfectly normal.
