Anyone who has seen my boys up close know that they are quite different. My oldest is a mini version of my husband and is darker than I am. My youngest looks a lot like me but is lighter than my husband. I'm tired of the looks and even the bold ones who actually ask if my husband is the father of both of them. To those who do so, LOOK CLOSELY AND YOU WILL SEE!!!!! I'm also tired of the comments, "Where did he get those blue eyes?". I don't even know the answer to that question. I usually smile and joke back. My mom still says that he is the mailman's baby and that get under my skin. My youngest still has blue eyes, lighter hair, and lighter skin. I am a bit of a mutt when it comes to my background and my husband isn't too far from it. My husband and I might have dark hair, eyes and tan skin but that doesn't mean that somewhere down the line someone had blue eyes. I have no reason why I am so irritated at this moment, just needed to let off some mental steam. Grrrr......... Thank you for listening.

my sister and I look nothing alike and we are 5 years apart. People tell me all the time that they don't believe we are sisters - it bugs me; I mean why would I lie about that. I look exactly like my mom and my sister looks like my dad. most people never met my dad only my stepfather so they start to wonder where my sister came from. 1st off, babies eyes can stay blue till a year old I was told! I was so afraid Xylia's would go brown like Mouse's.
I think it's so cool that you have 2 kids who can look so different. Genetics are awesome! Besides, anyone who sees the 4 of you together can't help but see the resemblance.
Anyway Steph you know Elijah is really our love child, THATS where he gets the blue eyes. :p Hope Andre's feeling better!
Oh Steph I am so sorry! I can TOTALLY understand why this would make you upset. I always get that Kayla looks just like Turner and Bill that my genes were skipped in making my babies...I'm like what the he**!!! So I feel for ya!!! You have such handsome babies!!! By the way I think they look like brothers, they dont have to look identical to be brothers!!!
next time someone asks about the blue eyes let them know blue eyes are a reccessive gene and that each of you give 2 allelles two must be dominant and two reccessive and that is why your child has blue eyes. By the time they understand it they will be far away friom you LOL

I understand this one well , my Dad was Mexican and my mom Irish. My brother is adopted and looks exactly like my mom. When people would find out my mom had one adopted child they would assume it was me if they didn't know/see my dad. It always used to irritate me that some people feel they can ask such personal questions/make assumptions.
