Well, here I am back up and doing good. I had a Bi-Lateral Mastectomy on Jan. 9th. It took a couple of weeks until I was feeling like my old self again and then I had my appointment for the pathology report with my surgeon on Jan. 20th. I was so positive that they got everything that you can image how I felt when my doctor told me that there were still Cancer cells that they missed so I needed more surgery. This really knocked me down into a depression that I fought so hard to stay out of. My first surgery lasted 10 hours instead of the 6 they told me it would. Now I had to have more, but this time they said it would be as an outpatient. So there I was on Feb. 2nd back in and then home the same day and the doctor told my family they got everything. The following week back at the doctor's for the report and guess what! There was still more Cancer cells left and I needed a third surgery. I left there in tears and wondering why I was going through all of this when it looked like the deck was stacked against me.
Well there I was on Feb. 16th in the hospital again and then back home again. The following week I was back at the doctor's for the report. Glory be! This time they got it all. No more surgery until it is time have the Implants put in. Now the tough stuff starts. Tomorrow I will be starting my Chemotherapy. I am worried about how I will react to it. Hopefully it won't make me too sick. I will keep you posted on how I am doing. Take care everyone.
