how sad. some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed. but this day started out good. I fed pancakes to my family and my daughters' BF. we sat around and looked at old photo's. got some really good chuckles at the fashion trends in some of them and the big hair, oh my, the big hair. too funny, indeed! school was only in session for half a day, so as I watched the kids leave, I planned my day outdoors and included some weed pulling. it began to rain. ok. so I'll do laundry instead. later, the BF dropped my daughter off and apologized for not being able to stay and talk, but work called and they needed him to come in early. it's spring break season here and the stores are packed. hugs, waves and he was off. my daughter was bragging very proudly that her science teacher thinks she will do great in advanced science or chemistry next year. woohoo! it's starts to really pour down rain. sooooo, let's bake cookies. fast forward to bedtime. my daughter gets a call from her BF that he was on his way home and he was in a very bad wreck. his car is totaled. yes, he was at fault because he hit the other vehicle in the rear, even tho there was nothing he could've done. the SUV in front of him hit their brakes because the road was covered in water and they couldn't see. the BF hit his brakes and hydroplaned. he slammed into them. they weren't hurt, but he looks awful. to make matters worse, his parents yelled at him and complained that now their rates will go up. they also grounded him and took his phone away. it was in the glove box because he doesn't talk and drive, but no matter. they are mad and going to punnish him every way they can. they did NOT take him to a doctor. they took him home, told him to get a shower and take some aspirins. this kid doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, gets excellent grades and is a good boy. and his parents treat him like a criminal. they don't want him to date because he might get a girl pregnant or won't focus on his studies. besides, they need him to baby sit his brother. it breaks my heart. how very quickly we can go from pancakes and sunshine to rain and wrecks. things aren't always fair, but this day was just a little too much proof.

aww. Bunny that is so sad:{ Good thing he'll be graduating soon and he can move on and out! I sure hope you show him the gestures of love and family life, as to often these boys grow up only knowing what they have seen:{ They don't have the luxury of good examples on life and love..So sorry :{ All of you are in my prayers..

Much Love,

Kristine
