Preterm Contractions part 2

So I was up all night Sunday evening and had them pretty bad until Monday night the meds weren't working  at all!   needless to say I called the on call and she said go to the nearest hospital and have them check to see if your are dialated, it will save you the long drive down here........so

We go to were I have delivered all my other kids and my old Dr. was on call, so they pretty much yell at Me and my husband saying you shouldn't be here you should have gone to Magee if you are in labor a 26 weeker wouldn't survive here. They do not have any way to breath or stabilize the baby and it would take 45 minutes for them to get an ambulance there. Needless to say he checked me said i wasn't dialated but because I wa s having contractions we needed to go to Magee......long story short, we drove 25 minutes out of our way for freaking nothing!

anyhow they deemed that I was dehydrated and hooked me up to IV fluids and I am pretty sure she put it in an artery because the blood pooled under my skin when she took the needle out!!  So they sent me home again but this time the contractions had subsided for the most part. Now I can adjust my own medication according to my contractions! Not sure if that is such a great idea but, we will see what they say on Friday when I go for my next appt!!!  Still having them but not as frequent! But I can say contractions suck!!!!!

Awwww... I'm so sorry you have to go through this on top of everything else! I'll be praying for you... let me know if you wanna talk or if there's anything I can do for you!

I am sorry you had to  do that drive but I am glad you are not dialating  I hope  you don't go into labor soon. Keep me posted and you are in my thoughts and prayers
