Has society gotten this pathetic? Seriously, what is wrong with people!

I was on vacation  last week. It was a nice vacation. We asked a friend to check our mail, and he forgot. Of course.

We come home sunday and there is mail in it. No padded envelopes or anything from people I KNOW were sending things. I asked them when they sent it, etc. One even had confirmation of delivery. I called the post office, nothing on hold.

I saw the mail lady today, she remembers placing padded envelopes in the mail box around thursday. Saturday she put more mail in the mail box, but padded envelopes were gone.

What the fuck is wrong with people? Seriously. All that were in those little envelopes were some blessingway beads and supplies to help make necklaces for some expecting women in one of my groups.

I am in tears here because I started this group because I wanted a close nit group of expecting moms, wanting a natural birth, to have a place to go to feel connected and understood and supported. It's an online blessing way, a spiritual alternative to a baby shower, and the thought that someone would just steal these items from my box makes me so angry and upset.

I just don't understand why someone would steal something from a mail box. What kind of asshole do you have to be? And if you noticed that the package wasn't anything you were interested in, just put it back! I would take an open package to none at all. :(

I feel terrible because these women spent money, and sent it to me, and now they have nothing to show for it. I just feel awful. I want to cry. :(

This is one reason we always put a hold on our mail when we're going to be gone.  Sorry that happened to you.

Oh Shanna!  I am so sorry :(  What a bunch of jerks!  I don't understand what is wrong with people.  I have yet to have mail stolen (that I know of, of course) but some asshole put a McDonald's icecream cone in our mailbox last week.  Seriously.  Wtf?  He could have thrown it in the ditch, or a trash can, or a compost pile...but no, they chose our mailbox.  I'm sure the mommies in your group will understand.  Let me know if there is anything I can send to help.

How awful!!! I can't stand when that happens!!! 

A friend of mine (on here!) had placed her wedding invitations in her mailbox around Christmas time......someone stole them all!!  They were hand made and everything......I can't stand when people steal.

So sorry that has happened to you.......

Shanna I am sorry that happened, but I bought some and was waiting til you got back to mail them to you! I need your last name to get it in the mail, unless you want me to mail it without your last name... Sooooo sorry!

How shitty! I'm sorry people suck.  I don't understand why they wouldn't put it back if they have no use for it...
