The other night as I was walking through the house I noticed sirens outside, no big deal we live very close to the fire dept. But then I saw the red lights in front of my house, so I opened the door to see what was going on. The daughter of the couple across the street was past loosing it and right in front of the door so that no one could get in or out of the house. So I went running over there to get her in the yard and out of the way not having a clue what was going on but it was very clear someone was hurt bad. To make a long story short she had a 12 week old baby girl, bella, and Bella's father had put her down in her bassinet with a blanket in it face down over an hour before so he could go out and continue a arguement with her mother Debbie. All Debbie could say was "my baby is dead, my baby is dead" The emt told me she wasn't dead, so I told her that and finally got her to come back some and settle down. Then I saw the emt bring Bella out of the house and run to the waiting ambulance, having been in peds icu as much as I have I could tell she was gone and it was a waste of time, but they worked on her for over an hour at the house and hospital and in between. She didn't make it. At first they was calling it SIDS, now they are saying it was an accident. Grab your babies and grandbabies and hold them tight and then tell everyone you know about this story. If we all do that maybe we can keep another Bella from happening, never put a infant on their belly unless you are standing right there with them and watching them. Tell even the people you already know that knows this, remind everyone. And please pray for her family, they really need all the prayers they can get.
