So it's been just over 3 months since we lost Joe and while it's gettine esier it still hurts sometimes to think about him. Every now and then I'll see something or hear a song on the radio that will make me think of him and it will bring a tear to my eye. Not every time, some time it will bring back a happy memorie but still, even those will make me miss him. He always seemed like more than just my brother in law, he wasn't just part of the family because he maried in to our wild and crazy bunch. He had been around for YEARS before my sister maried him and when it finaly hapened no one was surprised or raised an eybry of dissaproval or any thing like that. Infact, one of our aunts actually said to Tondie (my sis) "Ya know, it's nice to finaly have Joe officaly a Myrick" LOL. I feel so blessed to have gotten to know him better while I was living in NC with him and Tondie. I had always liked him but never realy knew him or had bonded with him at all before then. Ok, enough rmanising for now.
(Sorry folks I'm feeling just a bit random right now)
I've decided to pick up a new hobby. I'm going to start making baby slings. I never wore Shawn but the more I read about it the more I LOVE it and now am planing on doing it with the next (which according to Kevin won't be fore another 1 1/2-2 years but it wouldn't break my heart if it happened much sooner than that) I'm still doing research into fabrics and patterns and ways to wear them but I'm very excited and hope to have fabric to get started with very soon. Wish me luck all!
Moving on again.... Shawn continues to prove time and time again that I would take the terable 2's over 3 any day. He's developing a real attitude and has quite a hard head. There are times when it seems to be a good thing but most of the time where it means he wont listen to me and trys to act like I'm not evenj talking. then when I do something to get his attention he gives me dirty looks. AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH! Darn this strong willed atitude he gets from my family! I know in the future it will work well for him but right now it just makes me wish I could put him in time out for the whole day! I never would but ugh, it just seems like it would be esaier (bash me if you want for that one but if you say that you have a toddler and you've never had that feling I will call you out as a lier!)
Well, Shawn is done with his shower (he's decided that he's to big to take baths anymore) and it's bed time so I'll wrap this up now. Good night to all!
