Well we have made it back home. We just spent the last 4 days in Denver. I almost did not want to go home. We had a blast for sure. I mean just the idea of not having to clean up or cook was enough.
We went down Sunday and checked into our room and just relaxed. We ate at the Village Inn next to the hotel and just kicked back for the evening.
Monday we woke up and took advantage of the free breakfast at the hotel. Then we headed to the Colorado Railroad Museum. Kermit was in hog heaven. He is in love with trains and for a couple of hours he was in his own little world. He got to climb on trains sit in the engineer seat and just have fun. It was probably the cheapest place we went the whole time. It was also the place we all enjoyed.

After the museum we went to the Denver Aquarium. All of us enjoyed that place. Lots of fish, sharks and the kids got to fed stingrays.

After the aquarium we went to the Denver Zoo. I think we would have had more fun without Dara(Kermit's service dog). We had to be real careful where we took her in there and she kept taken after the geese and peacocks. I sooooo did not want that bill.

We hit Chilis for dinner. But Kermit had developed a stomach bug and we left with our food to go. We got back to the hotel room and he puked all over the door and then his bed. It was tons of food.
Tuesday we spent the day at the Museum of Nature and Science. Being blond to a point we forgot the camera which really sucks. Kermit loved seeing the dinosaurs and the space odessy. Andrew was thrilled at the rocks and minerals. And Elizabeth wanted to be told what they all were. Which was interested with all those long technical names. LOL We had dinner at a Texas Roadhouse and OMG it was awesome. I had Prime Rib and it basically melted in my mouth. They brought out a sample of their BBQ Ribs and they were perfect. I wish we had one closer to us. LOL
Wednesday we got up, pack up the van and headed out to the Butterfly Pavilion. Elizabeth was amazed to see all her beautiful friends. Kermit was enthralled with all of them. He even let Rosie the Trantula crawl across his hand.(aint no way I would have)

After that we just stopped at a McDonalds and headed home. Came home to my mother gone until Sunday and the house trashed by my 16 year old sister. Can't expect perfect to last forever. LOL

It's sooo nice to just get away from it all and just relax and have fun! Glad your trip went so great!
So glad you all had such a wonderful trip and thank you so much for the details and the pictures. I can see why Elizabeth loved the butterflies so much. You got a beautiful pic there. Sorry to hear of Kermit's stomach problem but glad it didn't spoil the trip entirely. Glad you are back though, cause missed talking to ya!![]()
