Ginny's Secret Stuff

Just me, tellin' it like it is.......

They're coming to take me away

ha ha  -  ho ho  -  he he

...to the funny farm where life is beautiful all the time, and you'll be happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats -

taking me away................

(*video is at the end of this post)

Soooooooooooo, late last night - there it was!  High up in the sky - bright blinking lights against the darkness of the sky and the twinkling of the stars.  Bright - I tell ya - and speeding rapidly getting closer and closer, and brighter and brighter.

Was it a bird?

No

Was it a plane?

No   (maybe?  nah!)

Was it Superman?

No

But, but, but ............. it WAS a flying saucer....

And, they (those nice young men in their clean white coats - with green skin) DID come to take me away.  It was so quick, I didn't realize what was happening.

Suddenly they swooped down in the flying machine, whisking me away to places unknown.  At first, I was a little frightened, but their kindness removed any fears I may have had.

It was all so sudden, I didn't have time to pack.  But, anyone who knows me, also knows that my camera goes everywhere with me.

The view was spectacular - beyond the clouds - flying through the star-studded sky .....

The Milky Way resembled a great big gratitude symbol....

(Yep, GRATITUDE is everywhere!)

Our first stop was to visit the man in the moon.  Gosh, he was nice and filled with wisdom.

We chatted awhile, but those little green men quickly swept me away again.

Traveling through space was such an adventure.

At the next turn, we stopped to swing on the stars...

and collect moonbeams to take home in a jar...

We took a slight detour, stopping to go for a swim in the Big Dipper...

That was fun, but not as exciting as the ride on Halley's Comet.............

It was what we used to call an "E-Ticket" ride.

"E-Ticket" ride goes back to the 1960's when you needed tickets to go on the rides at Disneyland.  There was "A", "B", "C", "D", and "E" tickets.  If the ride required an "E-Ticket" you just knew it would be exciting!

Around the next bend we discovered Jupiter.  This planet deserves two photos...

Just like a big huge marble, huh?  What a site to see!

Whoa.......... what's this?  Without warning we found ourselves right in the middle of a meteor shower!

Whew!  We escaped and moved on to the next destination -

Saturn...

After a brief jog around the rings, we moved on.

Woooosh!  That was a little too close for comfort - those asteroids move rather swiftly.  Look at it move....

Every journey is filled with surprises, and this one was no different.

OMGosh!  What's this?

Is it?

Could it be?

Yep, it was............

a black hole...........

Trying desperately not to get sucked into it, we struggled for a bit, but finally escaped.  (Those little green men are so clever.)

Just as with feet planted firmly on earth, it's important to remain mindful and aware in space.

Traveling on, we found ourselves back at the Big Dipper.  This time, Ursa Major surfaced and greeted us with a warm welcome.....

Translated.........................

And, what could that be right in our path?

Is it what I think it is???

Yes!  IT IS!  IT IS!

Earth -

Home Sweet Home

Getting closer................

As quickly as we had taken off, it was time to land.  The little green men in their clean white coats, said "good-bye", dropped me off at my front door, and departed back out into space.

One never knows what surprises this journey of life might bring.  Be open to all experiences.  Be receptive to all opportunities that cross your path.  We just never know what adventure awaits us, until we give it a try.

Life passes so quickly - enjoy each precious moment.

Grasp the innocence of a small child.  Observe young children as they play, not yet corrupted by the limitations imposed on us by society.  Imagine, if you can, being that child, without fears - just ready to enjoy life and have fun.

Find GRATITUDE in everything - always.

It's always there - sometimes in the form of an "E-ticket" and sometimes only an "A-ticket"; but it's always there.

*And, here's the video.  Enjoy!  And, remember to laugh.

I love this post.  I was drawn to read it because i'm one of the few of my generation who know that song, along with the other songs on the Album by Napoleon the 13th.... lol

I think sometimes we all need to be taken away in order to better understand what we have when we come back.

Thanks Ginny!
