Oh wow! I thought I posted this way back when! lol, Oh well, this is what happend about 3 months ago!
We had an awesome weekend at Cloud 9 Ranch. The weather was awesome ~ Great for being outdoors and enjoying everyone.
Our weekend actually started Thursday. Nathan (my sweetie) was off from work, so we messed around the barn for a while, cleaning it up, putting it back in order. In the afternoon, Val (my daughter) and I spent a few hours cleaning up the horses.
We took the shedding blade to the horses, one by one, and man! What a difference in them. I am sure they feel soo much better having all that loose hair off them. As we got done grooming them, we turned them loose in the yard so they could eat some of the grass that is growing. They had a ball for a couple of hours.
We also enjoyed watching our pair of Geese that are back and nesting. It's such a joy to see them back. I only hope they stay longer this year.
Friday, I mowed the lawn, and did some playing on our new (used) ATV. I can't help it. It makes it so much easier to get around, and now I don't have to use the lawn mower all the time! Val's new boyfriend came and got her to take her to Gatlinburg for the weekend. I went to town to do a little shopping and met Nathan for supper.
Saturday was spent outside again. We had a booth to work for Fastrack, and enjoyed meeting some great people. It's awesome when you get things accomplished and you can actually feel like your making headway again.
Sunday was another day spent outside. We went shopping in the morning, got 4 new trees for the yard, a grill cover for our new (also used) grill, and a few other odds and ends. I cleaned the dog kennel, and worked with my compost pile for a while. Then played on the ATV again.
Val and her boyfriend where home for supper and we grilled chicken out on the grill. They enjoyed going to the back field and playing in the mud on the ATV, while we cooked, and then Nathan and "the kids" went to the pond and fed the fish.
All in all, it was an awesome weekend! I'm so glad spring is back, and we can enjoy being outside again. Now, I just pray we continue to get rain at least once a week (I know,, asking a lot) and that we have a good hay harvesting year.
