Musings Of The Somewhat Insane

The weekend was lovely, I'm sad that it's over!

Clint, Alice and I went to Kaylani's 2nd birthday party on Saturday afternoon. I'm glad Clint tagged along, I didn't really know anyone there. And there happened to be ALOT of people! Kaylani's grandma chatted with us. Even though I see her so much at Lynn's, I haven't spoken with her much. She's actually very nice. We had an easter egg hunt, which is good practice for when we do it on Easter at my dad's house. The chocolate candy had melted inside the eggs because it was so warm. I didn't dare salvage any of it - too messy!

Yesterday, we went for a hike on the Monument to Devil's Kitchen. I got some cute pictures that I'll be posting later on today. Alice had a blast, though it was difficult to motivate her at times. She kept wanting to stop and pick up rocks or put her handprints in the sand. Clint and I both spoke about how we need more exercise. It's true. I hope to do something at least every Sunday (such as hiking, walking, going to the park, etc.)

We ended our weekend festivities with dinner at Jason's house. His girlfriend, Sarah and her kids were there. Alice had fun playing with everybody. She didn't eat much of her lasagna, but Clint and I wolfed it down. Good stuff!

Now the weather has taken a turn for the worse. It's all gloomy and rainy and windy. Yuck. I hope spring returns - with a vengeance.
