A good Cause

While sitting at my computer trying to figure out creative ways to
promote Ravenwood: Night’s Salvation, I received an email notice
from Brenda Novak, reminding me of an online auction to raise
money for Juvenile Diabetes. Her newsletter, though short, was
filled with ideas and tidbits that I look forward in receiving.

After reading this monthly installment, it didn’t take long for me to
see a great opportunity in helping to raise money for such a
worthy cause while promoting my work, Ravenwood: Night’s
Salvation.

One thing lead to another and before long I was in contact with
Pat Scalici, President of LSP Digital inquiring if all the authors
could participate by donating a book as well.  The rest is history
for everyone connected with LSP Digital. The consensus is
unanimous-- from CEO to every author, we are honored to be a
part of this year’s auction.

And what an auction it is! Donations come in from every walk of life including agents, first time and famous
authors, publishers. . . Even others outside the industry have joined making this auction one you won’t want
to miss.  There might be a ‘lunch with a famous author’ or a ‘promised reading of your full manuscript from
a publisher’, even a ‘full edit to be done on a manuscript’.  Whatever you find, you can guarantee that it will
be well worth looking at and bidding on.

All in all, I’m delighted at how my little idea blossomed into a huge basket and share with my fellow authors
the pride in participating in such a worthy cause as Juvenile Diabetes Research.  Here’s hoping our
contribution makes several dollars!
