There is a little boy named Darian... (web site update 3/24)

...who is very ill. Darian is 6 and he has Cancer...and, he's not been doing well. He's been fighting a very long time...his Mom hasn't updated his CaringBridge site in almost a week, we are hoping that's because she's busy...not, well...just not for any other reason.

January 2008 Darian turns 5...(info below taken from Darian's CaringBridge site)

The journey starts:

Darian is diagnosed with having Osteosarcoma. He has a malignant bone tumor on his left leg on the growth plate. We will start 12-14 weeks of chemo soon. Surgery will then follow where they will take part if not all of Darian's left leg. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001650.htm

Darian did have part of his leg removed...but, now the Cancer has reappeared in his lungs.

After Treatments:

  I'm sorry to hear about this poor little boy. I know how heart wrenching it is to not know if your child is going to make it or not. The first year of my youngest one's life he alomost didn't make it a few times (not from cancer though). My heart and prayers go out to him and his mother. I don't want to bother her at this hard time but please let her know she can contact me ANYTIME she needs to talk, vent, cry, or just talk about anything but cancer for a while. Please p.m. me and let me know when you find out about her son. If he's still wanting cards I'll have my sons make him a couple to send :)

How heart breaking is this little guy.  I hope that he is ok, that he will be ok.  His family wil be in my thoughts.  Voted pop, to get the message out.
