The respect you demanded and earned,

the faith you lived by

the strength in your arms,

I'll remember the time you spent helping others,

the gifts you gave not bought but given none the less,

the patience worn like a second skin.

I'll remember the games you played,

the ones you lost and the ones you won.

The ones you created and the ones you just played.

I'll remember the jokes you told,

the ones that didnt make sense but we laughed anyway,

and the ones that now bring a tear to my eye.

I'll remember you in all your greatness,

and in all your faults,

and in all your silliness and seriousness too.

But most of all these things and more

I'll remember that you loved me!

and the I love you!
