My hubby. Help I want him to be around for a long time....

Good day to all.

I need some pointers. My husband jut got put on med for his sugar. So i need so good diets for him. He is only 33 . So any one is on meds for there sugar and is on a diet please let me know so i can help him out.

Do you mean he's been diagnosed with diabetes?  My husband has diabetes, and we found a lot of great info on the ADA website.  They have great recipes that are specifically for diabetics, and from experience Ican say that they're pretty good to eat too.  There's also Diabetic Friendly Recipes, Diabetic-Recipes.com, and if you like message boards there's the Diabetic Forums.

Good luck!  Adjusting to life with diabetes is hard, but trust me when I say that in no time you'll both be very used to it and even come to enjoy it -- we make it a game of finding new, tasty recipes that are low carb and low/no sugar, and we've also come to enjoy sweets even more because we don't have them around the house much anymore.

Oh, and about your comment on my post: Life is  dead serious, but it's a joke too.  If I didn't see it both ways, I wouldn't have survived this far.

My grandmother had diabetes and she passed away  with a lot of other problems to, like smoking and pneumonia, I never really got to know her because she didn't really like kids. Now I'm regretting it because I didn't know her as well as I should have. Hopefully Hubby will pull through and make it. I will pray for you and Hubby.
