Hubby and I have been trying to get our Will's in order now for a few years...

So, in a renewed attempt....we were talking about who to give our kids too...

As we are not getting any younger and are 43 and 45(me)....we need to get this in order and our kids are 6,5 and 2 1/2.....

Before Alex got sick...we had asked SIL to take them....however, after that...we became like the outcasts....his sister had even asked us to take care of her kids should something happen to them....As soon as Alex got sick...that all changed....we were no longer good enough....like something we did..(me)....made him the way he is....Never mind that She and her older brother are the only 2 in the family that have ever had seizures before Alex....granted it was only once for each of them...but, yet....they blame me...I am the bad one....

So, who to ask now to take care of my kids....My mom would take them I am sure...however, she is not a spring chicken anymore...and Alex scares her to death...she would never sleep again always worrying about him....SIL is out....cause Alex is damaged goods now.....and my Dad...well, that just won't work....Bill's other sister...NOT ON YOUR life.....and that leaves.........................

Funny thing is....I think I know the perfect person to ask....however, I don't really know this person at all....what I do know is she is a nurse....loves kids....and is a saint in my book....now why can't someone like that pop up that I actually know!

Oh, well....such is life....will have to keep thinking.....

I am in the same sitaution. I want to get things settled and have plan for our dd. I am not sure who to ask because there isn't anyone I am super close with that I would trust. I don't know. It is really hard.

It is hard isn't it?  Now that I've seen how poorly a certain family member handles a crisis.  I'm seriously considering putting down my 23 yr old daughter even though she does not have her act together this year!  (BTW I know who the sainted nurse is.)

I've thought about this too, but I'm hoping with two older sons, one of them would want to take their baby brother...hopefully our oldest since he's almost finished with grad school and is getting married-

Not fun to think about though is it!
