Rocco's Surgery.... :(

Rocco was born with 6 toes on each foot.  After a lot of thought I have decided to have his extra toes removed. I am nervous about it.  It's an out patient surgery but we will be there for 6 hours.  He will have a cast on each foot up to his knee for 6 weeks afterwards.  I am soooo nervous about it, more than I have been for any of his other procedures.  His surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7th....sigh.  Poor little guy has NO idea what is going to happen to him.  I feel so bad for him. I could really use some support on this one.  I don't normally have a hard time with these kind of things and I just feel like a jerk even though I know it needs to be done.  I wish I could take his place. Ugh!

Poor Rocco. He will be just fine Lorena. It's ok to be scared. I am here for you always. Let me know how it goes. His cast will be off just in time for summer. =) Love ya.

Aww, I know it's hard to do something we know is going to hurt our kids... But just keep telling yourself you're doing it for HIS welfare. He may not understand now, but he'll be grateful once he realizes what happened.

Kids bounce back after surgery.. he'll be back to his old self in no time after his surgery.  It is always so tough going through these things as mothers. I'll keep Rocco and your family in my prayers. :)

Hey Lorena,  it's hard when our kids have to go through something like this. But you know it's good for him or no way would you be doing this. My twins had to have circumcisions at two years old because I didn't know you had to ask for them at birth. I know this isn't like what Rocco's going through.

He will be healed up right before Summer and you can take him and buy him some new flip flops or somthing. Make a celebration out of it..

I'll keep you guys in my prayers but I know he'll be just fine.. So will you!! I'm here if you need me.
