It has been about 2 months that i have pass by her house every morning. Everyday my heart aches. I look at the yard and recall how the yard was once a huge playground where i would run around and play with my cousin or lie on a blanket and read books with my aunt. As i grew up i would go and visit her and listen to her stories of her childhood and stories of her life. I listened attentively trying to imagine life in the olden days. I would let her make lunch for me even though i wasn't hungry. I just let her so she would feel needed. She was my alarm clock. She would call to make sure i was awake to shuttle my kids out the door for school. My only regret is that i didn't learn to sew or bake like her. I wish i would of paid more attention to that too. I really miss her so much. I can't believe she is gone. I long to hear her voice and laughter. I will miss her baking us cookies and cakes. Gosh i definetly miss her wake up calls. I hope she knows that i miss her so much and my kids think and miss her too.
I love you Grandma and I miss you so very much!!

Well Shell, I am pretty sure that she knows that you miss her. I never had a relationship like that with my grandmother. You are truely blessed to have had that kind of relationship with her Shell. Just remember all of the good times that you two have shared and reflect on those. ![]()

My Grandmom died when I was 17. I am 53 and I still miss her very much. Grandmoms are precious and near and dear to our hearts forever.
