Enchantasi's Sanctuary

Of Happiness, Sadness and hereafter.....

This is my daughters hair, well atleast it was till tonight, because her mother is a total failure and just couldn't hold up...

My company had to go through inspection of vehicles.... 2 failed, 1 passed, had to many calls for just one driver and one vehicle...

Two bosses, each telling me not to listen to the other, calling anxiously awaiting results of inspections, getting driver/vehicles coordinated to meet with inspector,

SoonerRide calling every five minutes, when's member going to be picked up, from 3 to 5:30pm,

Just so much all in one day going on,

I got this splitting headache, so bad it made me want to puke, so when my daughter and I get home, we both go lay down and take a nap.... on a normal basis when she is first to wake, she'll wake me up usually to the point that I am awake, secondly, I was not aware of how hard i had fallen asleep cause I was texting info to and from one boss in OKC, but next thing I know, my husband returns home, comes in and states "Tyra gave herself a haircut!".   NO NO NO im thinking, he's foolin me right? Nope...

and its my fault, I should have done what I thought about doing but I didn't and this is what happened...

***ADDED***

everybody has found it funny, however, I don't, maybe after i can get a full night sleep.... but im devastated

Wow I'd be really upset too, but maybe you can make the bangs and put it in a ponytail later.

If it makes you feel any better,  a month ago,  my 10 yo son cut a huge chunk out of the top of his head.  It had JUST grown back, and he went to his dad's,  came back with yet another bald spot on top of his head.  *sigh*  Grandpa had to cut something off the top of his head (why,  I do not know!).  So,  I feel ya.  Thankfully,  it does grow.

For her first time, she did a pretty good job. Just even it up a little bit and it's a great cut! Sorry you've had such a hectic time, Momma.

At least she didn't cut it all off!  It's actually not that bad for her doing it herself,  just give her some long layers and it'll be fine.  You can still put it up so that's a plus.  Long hair is over rated.

Both my kids cut their hair too. While you feel like a lousy mom because you were tired, please don't. Kids can get into all kinds of trouble even when you are fully awake. Luckily big bangs are in and yes the hair will grow. Just take her to get a cute blunt cut in the mean time. She was just being curious and creative. It really doesn't look that bad. If you miss the curls put hot rollers on the ends.

Breathe mama. It's okay. Just a part of parenthood.

Apr. 1, 2009 at 9:00 AM Oh honey...I've been there. My daughter had hair just like your daughter. I went upstairs and a minute later I heard her yell, "Mommy, I'm playing the cutting my hair game." I ran downstairs and sure enough. She had cut her hair -- all the way to her neck. I mean, she cut it as short as she possibly could. I was devastated and just wanted to cry! I had to take her to get her hair cut and afterwards people mistook her for a boy. It was awful. But, that was 4 years ago and it has long since grown back. And Tyra's will too. Don't be so hard on yourself. It wasn't your fault. This happens to just about everyone. I think it's a right of passage -- for kid and parent!

Take a deep breath  momma! My 4 yr. old cut her hair also, but she cut almost to the scalp on the side of her head! Thankfully it wasn't too noticeable, enough though, I ended up having to cut her hair into a bob. (her hair was as long as your daughters!) So don't feel bad, it happens to the best of us!
