Chapter 1: My Rugged Road to RSD
"This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it."

WHOO HOO!!! RSD FINALLY!! This was a long & overdue promotion for me, so please excuse me while I continue to do my happy dance and back hand springs! First, I give all honor to our Creator for all things are possible through Him, if you have faith. Words truly cannot express the amount of joy, happiness and other emotions I am feeling inside. I, just like many others, have come a long way. I started out on a fast track, but did not keep up with that track due to many outside factors and the Me-factor. So, it took me a bit longer to get to RSD than many others. But it's ok. I made it--- just like the little engine that could!!!
I started out in July of 2008 while working full time as a Director of Business Operations for my local humane society averaging 49-60 hours per week (only being paid for 40 hours though!). I was also finishing up my second degree online full time (Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Crime Scene Investigations & Cybercrime-my first degree is in Paralegal Studies- Summa Cum Laude) and running my other home business, Blessed 2 Be Home, extremely part-time. Fortunately, I completed my second degree in December 2008 with highest honors- Summa Cum Laude too! But it is safe to say I had a full plate when I started. However, I wanted to make a change. I knew that I wasn't'wasn't going to make a 6 figure income with either my home business I had started or with my job at the time, so I looked for other options. Not to mention I was tired of someone else raising my daughter. My first search for work from home really began in 2003 when I was pregnant with my daughter. I got scammed out of over $500 plus dollars and made bad business investments. Being scammed is what prompted me to start Blessed 2 Be Home so that I could help others find legitimate jobs from home; especially since I had worked for many when I was 19 years old. So I did know they existed. And since 2003, I'I've helped over 400 people find jobs from home with hiring companies. During that time, I also started my first home-business in direct sales with a wellness company in 2003. I was actually approached by someone with Ameriplan® after I had already started with the other company, so I declined. But I told myself that if I had ever been approached by them again and the time was right, I would do it. After 5 years I got really no where with that wellness company. I am not a quitter. When I start something--- I see it through. But I finally truly realized that it was not worth all the hard work and the teeny tiny checks I was receiving, so I began to look again. I was also having issues with a change in management on my job, so that prompted the desire for change too!
In July of 2008, I answered an ad on Craigs list and Renea Wells responded wiwon'th the information on Ameriplan®. I immediately remembered my promise or "note-to-self" from 2003 about this company. Some things seemed different or improved, so I was excited, but I did not sign up with her immediately. I think it was about a week later after I had thoroughly researched the company and prayed about it. I knew deep inside that this was for me. I felt it with every inch of my being. So I began and boy did I get off to a great start! I saw the vision that the Bloom Brothers had and I knew that this would be something that I could do for the long haul. I won't go into too many details-I'I'll save it for my next promotions--- but I had a rough... extremely rough life. Most people wouldn't'wouldn't think so because of how energetic and happy-go-lucky I have always been. But I just knew that I did not want my daughter to experience any of those things that I had to. So I knew that I could provide a legacy for her with my Ameriplan® business.
Like many of you, I have had and currently have a lot of struggles. I was diagnosed with a disorder back in 2006 that can sometimes get the best of me on top of the not so healthy marriage of almost 6 years I have right now. I lost my job of 6 years in September of 2008...not to mention my most recent Cancer scare, which I am still waiting on word back from the doctors. But I finally realized that I had to rise above those obstacles like I did when I was growing up. I was a straight A student, well known and talented track/cross country runner, dancer, cheerleader despite the terrible life I was dealing with in my home. I was sought after by top colleges for track and for academics. And no one knew my troubles because I was always happy, always smiling, always moving forward. I told myself that I wouldn't'wouldn't use can'those bad experiences as an excuse to do wrong and to not succeed. I realized don'that same thing must be applied now. You can't let anyone or any situation steal your sunshine--- to steal your dreams or your goals. I have to overcome obstacles daily and I mean daily. But I know if I keep at it, I will make it to NSD then to NVP. RSD, SRSD, ESD, SESD are all stops along the way. I am going to knock each one out like I did anyone that was in front of me on the track. I never placed anything less than the top 3, so why should I do it in this business? The only difference is I am not racing a race on the track. I'm racing towards my dreams, towards my future for myself, my daughter, and my family. My advice to all of you is to never stop. Obstacles will come, but it is those who rise above those obstacles who will succeed--- so PERSEVERE! Just picture a track person jumping over a hurdle. Hurdlers don't just have one hurdle to jump over to get to the finish line.... There are multiple hurdles. So JUMP or LEAP over all of those hurdles in your life. PERSEVERANCE has always been something I hold on to and will continue to do so. I encourage you all to do the same.
I give thanks to my wonderful enroller Renea for her guidance, faith and ever lasting support. I give thanks to Jess Barker she has helped me out tremendously and I will NEVER forget that. I give thanks to Winnie Woody and Tammy Rossilli these two are rock stars... and EI Strain too. Eagle University was such a wonderful and helpful resource/motivator! Susan Goodknight, Jennifer May and Janie Joneit's have also been of great help. Thank you ladies for don'the personal calls... you have all contributed to helping I'me become a better person in this business.
All of these ladies have been there for me and helped me to get to RSD by their constant faith in me... even when I lost sight of it for a moment. They helped me to reaffirm that I can do this and that they are there to help. So know that everyone is here to help you and it's ok to get help. I'm a stubborn person and don't like to ask for help. I am one that has to do it all myself. BUT I'm glad I did ask for help though.... These ladies truly came through for me more than I could ever tell you. It doesn't'doesn't even matter that some of them are not in my direct line of support. They still helped anyway. Thanks to my new found friends with the Support Troopers-Connie, Saundra (lol-you know why I spelled it that way), and the rest of the Margarita Hour Group :). I thank my parents, my older sister, older brother and younger brother for always believing in me and telling me that I'm going to make it in whatever I chose to do. I do want to thank my husband, Howard, for both the negative and positive support. Both types have helped me to keep moving forward and to work harder (I worked harder to prove him wrong when he was negative). I also thank one of my dear friends, who knows who I am referring to, for always being there rooting for me since day 1--- thanks so much. I thank my friends and former co-workers Connie Hudson, Ruthann McDermott and Rhonda Burgan for always pushing me and telling me I will be successful. And last but not least, Noëlle Winter-Marie, my dear daughter who haShe's been wihaven'th me don'through it all. She's a Don'trooper and future IBO with Ameriplan®...well maybe in 13 more years.
(Now that I have written a novel) In closing, I am only 26-will be 27 in August 2009. If I can do it--- you can!! Just believe in yourself... watch the movie the Secret if you haven't. I watch it DAILY!!! And pull different quotes from it to motivate yourself. PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT!!! Do it! Create your dream boards... Carry your goal dates in your pocket for whatever promotion you are chasing (thanks EI!)... It all helps! I have the minimum goal of achieving "RSD" every month-the famous 6 and 4. This way I can help my team to achieve RSD in 30 days! I don't want them to take as long as I did-even though I truly know its ok. I write every thing all out and what it will take each day, each month to get to my goals. It's a learning process and I'm ready to be the top student! Oh and get yourself a theme song... I have one that I listen to all of the time when I get down: "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey. That song and "Eye of the Tiger" have helped me since middle school especially during track season! And one quote from the Bible "This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it." If you use those things, it does help!
Watch out world... here Tresie comes.... On Your Mark, Get Set, Go....!!! Next stop SRSD!! "I'm Racing to the Finish Line of Financial Freedom!"
