I would seek a second opinion by a dermotologist.

Definitely seek a second opinion.  You may have a mild form of it or you could be having a reaction to something.  Good luck.

I would use the steroid cream for at least 7-10 days and see what happens after that.

Also, don't use any soap, or make up on that area at all.  Just lightly wash with a cotton ball and water and apply the cream.

If you have been using make up pads or make up of any kind in that area you might want to consider throwing it out and buying new because you might just be re-infecting yourself using it near or on the area.

Its a common skin problem, but steriod creams usually get it under control.

Once under control I would seek some good facial cleansing products, toner, and face cream from a reptuable company.  Good salons that do facials can and will have these skin care products for you.  Sign up for a facial and then buy what the girl recommends to you to use on your skin.  I have done this for years. Being blonde I am very sensitive to soaps, MaryKay products, and other cheap skin care products .   The women that do these facials at the salons are almost better then seeing a dermatologist.  They study facial features, hair, skin, etc.

So use the cream , and if it clears up find a good salon and some good facial care products to use.

good luck!

I have it...fortuantely for me it is on the back of my neck. I dont use anything on it. I found it made it more itchy and irritates. I just let is pass when I get it. I will tell you that it comes and goes...sometimes I have a year or more between flare-ups. It also will come out more under stress, so try relaxation techniques. I dont even recommend steroids for anyone except as a last resort. They have way too many scary side effects....including psychosis-type effects.

I have a facial next week and I am going to get a second opinion. I would not mind it just the flakes that drive me nuts.
