Went to the doctors

 I went on Tuesday and was told I have depression.So i am now on 50mg of Zoloft.I had a feeling that i had it cause i have been feeling not like myself in some time.It's only be 2 days since I started taking it and it takes a few days to start to work so i am hoping that is doesI am so glad that I went and got the help I needed..

I am sorry you have some depression going on, but can i make a suggestion? see a psychiatrist. family practioners are really not qualified to diagnose and treat depression. if your insurance covers a psych i really woudl suggest a second opinion and other suggestions on meds. often depression treatment works BEST with a combination of medication AND therapy.

The medication does take some time to work, but it helps tremendously!!  Hang in there, and good luck!
