So today I take my kids and we go pick up hubby's check. We go to the bank and to the store, all's good. I decide I am going to take them to the movies. I stop at k-mart to kill a little time before the movie stops and I wanted to buy some baby items. All is good, I go to leave, I strap the kids ages 2 and 4 into their carseats, I waddle around the car and get myself in, I go to start the car- nothing. I try again- nothing. I sit a minute and think, hmmm, I try again- nothing. I call my hubby who is on his way out of town for the night, he says he can come back if I need him to but he is already 1 1/2 hours away. I call his dad and old mechanic who really doesn't know much about newer cars but I figure it can't hurt, he is at work, he is over an hour away on a job. I sit there I don't want to call my mil, I call my sister, she's at work. I try the car again, I can get it to stay started if I keep my foot on the gas, but as soon as I lift my foot it dies. I call my fil back he says try to get home, so I go the back way to avoid all but 1 stop light and traffic, I make it home the car dies as soon as I pull in the driveway. But I made it home, alive with both girls. SO now my fil is going to come over after work and see if he figure out what is worng with it. I end up with car problems and having to see my mil today, not fun. We didn't make it to the movies, but I will take them tomorrow after I go to the grocery store, at least I do have hubby's car if I need it and don't have to change the carseats over since I have them in there too, I am SO thankful that this didn't happen when I had a newborn with me too. Now I just hope my fil can fix it without having to take it to the dealership. What a day.
