What Good Families Are Doing Right

Strong families establish solidarity in family through rituals and tradiitions that belong to them.
Mothers and fathers model an example of a strong and loving relationship with each other.
Parents pattern a disciplined lifestyle and control the environment in which their children are living.
A loving family majors in communication. They listen to one another and respond with genuine sensitivity.
A family has fun ! they affirm and encourage on another.
The family demands respect for each member of the household.
The family shares responsibility. Children must be taught to serve others.
Families have a shared religious faith. Parents teach their children virtues arising out of the shared ethic.

WONDEFUL!
I was with you until the last topic... I don't believe virtues and ethics have anything to do with religion. It seems to imply that those of us who aren't religious are somehow not a "good family".

This is great . Especially the part of showing respect/ and serving, because the more shown to the Father (of the household) the better in explaining religion or a higher power to children. The same with the Mother (of the household) this shows that everyone has a place in Gods plan and that no one is replaced by another but added to the family unit.
