Jan Tritten

For those of you who don't know Jan Tritten is the founder of Midwifery Today, a wonderful periodical put out quarterly.

She is my "friend" on Facebook and every now and then I chat with her about the upcoming Midwifery conference in Copenhagen, Denmarkthat I will be attending. Today I asked her if it was okay if I used my iPod to audio record the workshops I will be taking since they are for personal use. I plan to sit as close to the speaker(s) as possible. She said that would be fine and asked if they are of good quality if I could email or send them to her so Midwifery Today (MT) could sell them. I told her absolutely! I actually have some audio tapes of past conferences.

She then asked if I would be interested in helping to video record (with their camera) some of the workshops so MT could do some "youtubing".  I told her I would be more then happy to help in anyway!!! Anything for MT :O) We are going to meet the evening before the conference so I can get the camera and look over the user manual.

I also imagine this will get me closer with the speakers, so I can have a little face time with them. I'm so elated I could pee my panties!

How exciting? When is it? I will be in Denmark at the end of May - it would be so super to check out this event!

I will be in Italy :-( I don't think we are planning to get to Copenhagen until May 22, after a couple of nights in Berlin.

I will have to check out if we can rearrange our schedule a little...we are still not Positive about our plans yes. When are you going and how long are you staying? Going any other places on this trip?

I leave Philadelphia on the night of the 11th and leave Copenhagen early on the 18th. I'm only going to be in Denmark, my sole purpose for the trip is the midwifery conference.

How long will you been in Europe and where all are you going?

You can follow along on my journal post as we plan the final details, but we start in England, then Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Denmark (maybe Norway), France and back to England. We will be gone for 5 weeks :-)
