Yup he broke it, BUT he can go to school Leave my son a signature for his cast virtually lol

Well I called the ortho surgeon this morning. They got us in at 930, which was great except it was then 830 and they had 2 inches of snow on the ground. We get in and they get us back and the doc comes back and says wellllllll... he fractured the growth plate. Not exactly a great place to fracture. So he got a walking cast just for support but still a full cast none the less. At least he does not have to worry about crutches. He was not real pleased that he got casted in teh postiion it hurt to hold it the most, but it was done in about 10 minutes. He wanted it in blue but they were out of the blue size they needed to do the cast so he settled for red. The tech told him she could do him in Easter basket green and pink and yellow rofl.. somehow he was not going for that lol.... So here is his cast ladies...

rofl he can his pjs over the cast so morning is going to be fun lol..This is here for 3 weeks then he gets a walking boot for extra support for 3 weeks yippeee..

Ah man I was hoping it wasn't broke..tell him I hope he feels better really soon.  I was thinking when I read this at least it wasn't a pink cast and then you put in that last part..lol.  Barry's grandmother's dog just broke her leg last week in two spots.  Poor dog had to be set without any meds, she has a bad heart, and then it fell off sometime later...had to be reset.  They put the dog in a pink cast b/c they felt so sorry for her..lol. 

I guess a cast though is going to kind of make him the cool kid in class wouldn't it?  Back in my day if you got a cast anywhere you were popular until it came off and oh, all the signatures he will get:)  I hope it heals fast and just the way it is suppose to..Personally I like the red cast.
