This is a little random, so hang in there with me!

I wanted to thank you all for being such great friends!  You are always so supportive of me and everything I do and I have grown so much as a mother and woman with you always there for me!

We've been unemployed now for 7 months and I have to say it really hasn't been too bad.  It's been nervewracking, but we've made it through unscathed.  My husband, who holds a PhD, has applied to well over 100 jobs, has only had about a dozen phone interviews from that and about half a dozen face to face interviews.  Half the jobs he applies for decide not to hire anyone because of "the state of the economy."  It's really bad out there, in case you hadn't noticed!  Anyway, he has officially accepted a postiion at a college in Nebraska, so we will be moving in the next couple of months.  It's not the job we wanted, but we are going to take it!  It will be close to his family and closer to mine.  At this point, I'm happy just to get him out of the house so I can resume my normal life!  Thank you so much for all the prayers and well wishes! 

Thank you so much for buying all my camera strap covers!  I never imagined that they would be so popular!  lol  You guys have given me reason to practice my sewing and I've been improving them and making them bigger and better.  I just set up an etsy shop where I hope it will be easier for me to manage the selling.  I will be putting up some prints and other things soon, so check it out and let me know what you'd like to see in there!  You gals are my biggest fans and I love you for that!

Anyway, thank you for everything!!!  I know it seems like I'm not on much these days, but I really am.  lol  Things will be crazy over the next few months, but I'll be around!

Oh wow Jen! I had no idea you were going through all that. I just went through the same thing less then a year ago. I think Chris was only out for about 6 months though. Oh, and I was so thankful for the strap I got from you a couple of days ago. We went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park and walked around a good portion of the day. With out it, I think my camera would have cut my head right off. Lol.

This economy does suck! It finally hit my husband and I! I get lots of compliments on my strap cover and it does help my strap from digging into my neck! It's great! You are talented I always love all the stuff you come up with! So creative! if I had money I'd pay you to make all kinds of stuff for me! lol :) I hope all is well in Nebraska. I will be relocating to another state once hubby gets his orders! So I will be going through that big change(my first time EVER leaving Ohio).

Aww.. Jen.. you are so multi-talented.  You could do anything you want.  I think it is the strength you have that gets you through the days.  You are really someone I admire!

Good luck on your move.  Maybe we will plan the next Fab 5 trip to Nebraska.  lol.

I love your camera straps I will definitly order one off etsy! :)  I am glad you guys got something and wish you well.  I truly believe things happen for a reason sometimes.  It has happened to me so much but you can't see it now, it isn't until you look back that you will know why it happend and why you are bound for Nebraska!! :) Good luck!!

YAY! I'm so glad that you will have some security now! It's been emotionally exhausting enough for me to sit there and watch you go through this w/o actually going through it myself!

Glad that I could support the cause... and support myself at the same time. I'm sure my photog friend never guessed the true price of the strap! ;o)

that's awesome that you have an etsy shop!!!! I will be checking back frequently.... or maybe you could design one strap for my friend... who is a wonderful photographer.... she is more like a punk/rock chick.... so it would have to be something more on the black side.... simple.... anything comes to mind?:)
