When ever I talk to someone about the Lord who is a nonbeliever they always want proof, empirical scientific proof. Believing in the God is by faith alone. It is like believing in love. There is no empirical scientific proof that love exist. Some people say "I would die for so-n-so, that is proof". But is it really? No. It isn't often but you hear of people risking their lives to save a complete stranger. Then lets think about cops and firefighters. They die everyday for people they never met. Yes they get paid, but just because they died for someone does not mean they loved them. Now, lets talk about being sad, nervous, or jealous. Again no empirical scientific proof. Yes, when we feel these things our actions reflect them. This is the same as believing in the God. Your actions, words, feelings, and whole being reflects them. Yes, I would die for my Lord. He did for me. Having faith is not knowing. It is feeling. It is believing.
Comments:
People do accept things they can not phyisically observe all the time. This is where I am trying to make my point. That it is the same as believing in love(the not having proof part). You can not physically observe love, jealousy, or even pain. Which pain can be scientifically proven due to nerves and receptors. You can not see pain, feel, taste, touch or hear pain, Only the actions of the person in pain.

When it comes to God and spiritual things, you need a non-physical method of observation.
So until they can accept that non-physical methods of observation can be valid, then they won't get any evidence they can believe.
