Every week is harder

Well, my hubby's work had yet another lay-off.  He beat this one again.  I worry everyday that he wont beat the next one.  I was sure a month ago that things where going to pick up over summer, but it doesn't look like they are going to.  He was off three weeks this month and may be off 6 weeks starting next week.  Who knows what's going to happen?  I'm happy for every week he's still at work and feel so sorry for those family's who's bread winner got laid off.  With all these lay-off's ahead of him, places that were hiring surely have all the people they can afford to pay which will leave no work for him if he does get laid off.  Things are so hard right now...I gave my daughter's b-day money to my step-kids mom to pay her electric or it was going to be shut off.  She says she'll pay me back this weekend, but I'm honestly not holding my breath.  Electric is more important than cake...but its still sad to see my daughter miss out on something like that.  I hope my ultrasound next Tues goes well with good news at least.  I need some good news.
