She fights the Ninja's, but sometimes they take over. They effect her quility of life, they rob her of her joy, they come after her when she least expects it, and day to day, she lives with the apprehension of knowing that at anymoment, the Ninja's might strike again...with vengeance, creating debilitating pain, and agonizing frustration...
Can you imagine?
On April 18th, I will be participating in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's annual Walk MS to move closer to a world free of MS. The Society supports more MS research, offers more services for people with MS, provides more professional education programs and furthers more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world.

Please consider joining as a fund-raiser yourself or sponsoring me as I walk. It's easy to make a difference - visit me HERE to make a donation, or call 1-800-FIGHT MS to register or make a donation today.

My personal fund-raising goal is $350... I am well on my way, considering my determination level. Your generosity and enthusiasm will not only help me reach my goal, but will also make a positive difference in the lives of the 13,500 people with MS in my community alone, and help make a difference in the lives of people like my Sister Michelle Alkerton (Cafemom: MSHAIKU2U) who lives with the Ninja's (MS) everyday..
Help me kill the Ninja's...I promised her I'd do what I could, and this is what I can do...I just cant do it alone.
Thank you in advance for your support.

We're in the same boat as Rachael, broke as a joke! I will spread the word though to all my friends and see what I can do to help! Love you. xoxoxoxo
mshaiku2u (here on Cafemom) is who Im referencing, yes. After 2 years of friendship with one of the most afflicted people I know, I felt it was time to step up to the plate; she has supported my fight against Cancer; it's my way of giving back.

Your post brought tears to my eyes Elle. Thanks for caring and wanting to do something. My Mom and I are walking in our community here in Canada on April 19, 2009 because we both still can. I don't know if I can do the 5k. I might only be able to do 1k, but I'll be there. I was diagnosed in Nov. 2000 and my Mom in Feb. 2001 and we both walked in our first MS walk in April 2001. I might ask though, that you remove the word 'afflicted' from your description of me. It just kind of jars the senses to be connected with that word. Thanks again for all your love.
Stay inspired!
Michelle
