Some things God has shared with me recently:
"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about such things." ~ Philippians 4:8
"...We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." ~ Romans 5:3
"But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently." ~ Romans 8:25
It is easy for me to get bogged down with wanting to do more for God; more ministry, more teaching, more evangelizing, etc. But, He has made it clear to me in these past few days, that He has given me the roles I have, as His child, a wife, and a mother, as ways to serve Him, and He is might pleased with this service. I do not need to take on more to please Him more, but wholly devote myself to serving Him in the roles I currently have! It is an honor for serve Him as HE sees fit! And It is silly for me to question where He has placed me! He knows best how I can best serve, and I need to do so as unto Him. I must be a servant of His with each passing moment of each passing day. I must be a Godly wife to my husband and serve Him as God teaches. I must teach my children how to love and serve God, and about God, doing my part to bring up more God-fearing adults in the coming years. If I miss these roles, and yet bring others to Christ, I have not done my job! I have neglected my part! It is a reminder that I do not take lightly. Thank You God for making me aware of the importance of focusing on the tasks at hand, and not looking to tomorrow's activity for You, becoming discontent with the blessings of today! In Your Son Jesus' Holy name! Amen!
