Lexi writes a post!

Wow, how exciting!  Mom said I can write the journal post today because she will be busy updating her groups!  I have never written a post before anywhere!  I have chewed posts up (and dad always shouts at me for it!) but I've never actually written one!  Hang on a minute, I need to ask mom what a "post" actually is!

Okay, well that explains it a little better!  I just need to write about my day and how I spend it!  That should be easy enough.  So here is a day in my life, by me, Lexi the German Shepherd!

6 am - 7 am - I get up when dad wakes me up at 6 am.  He is very noisy when he gets up to go to work so he always wakes me up and even though I have to pee so very very bad I always hold it in and give him big kisses all over his face and sometimes a quick nip on his nose!  (I used to get in big trouble for this because I would nip too hard, but now I know how to do it so it doesn't hurt!)  Then after kisses I get to go out and pee (ahhhhh what a relief!)  Then it's breakfast which I gobble down in two seconds or less, followed by a big drink, then usually I have to pee on the floor for some reason, but even I don't know why I do that!  After dad yells at me for peeing on the floor when I've just been out I get to chase my cat around for a few minutes and stuff her head in my mouth, which I really enjoy but her not so much!

7 am - 9 am - Just before dad leaves for work we wake mom up!  It's great fun, dad opens the door and I bound on the bed and kiss her awake.  She usually yells at me then gives me a hug and she gets up and we go wake Maddie up (same way, with big kisses!)  Then it's time for more cat chasing and begging while mommy and Maddie eat breakfast.  When Maddie gets ready for school I get all excited and "pester" as mommy calls it until it's time to go.  If it's not raining I get to ride in the car to take Maddie to school!  But if it's raining and I've been rolling in the wet grass and mud mommy calls me a dirty dog (which I don't think is nice!) and makes me stay home.  That makes me so sad I have to chew up a shoe or two to make myself feel better!

10 am - 12 pm - When mom gets home later that morning I get to play outside and sometimes take a walk!  I love to be outside where I can chase leaves and eat poop!  Yes I am a poop eater and even a poop roller!  This, for some reason, makes my mom very upset!  She again calls me a dirty dog and says I'm disgusting!  Well I say don't knock it until you try it!  I also like to bark at stray cats, dogs, and sometimes people if I don't like the looks of them.  The people get scared when I bark, which I think is funny!  I have to take a moment to say something about this!  People are so scared of me because I am a German Shepherd, but I am only 7 months old and really a big baby!  Don't tell anyone but I am really scared of a lot of things, like plastic bags blowing in the wind and cardboard boxes!  I wish people would realize that German Shepherds are great dogs and if we are trained right we will not bite and in fact, we are much nicer than, say a mini pin!  I know this for a fact since my grandma has a mini pin and I find her quite noisy and obnoxious!  That's why I sometimes have to make her turn somersaults when I go visit, ha ha!

1 pm - 4 pm - after lunch (also gone in two seconds!) I get to nap on the couch with my stuffed tiger in my mouth.  I usually pass a lot of gas during this time, though I don't realize it until I wake up and mom tells me I stink.  (what is it with this woman and her insults??)  After nap time it's once again time to maul the cat then we get to go pick Maddie up at school!  Sometimes mom actually takes me out of the car on my leash and I get to wait for Maddie outside the school.  It's great fun to pull super hard on the leash and try to smell everyone's shoes and butts!  Everyone loves me of course, especially the kids, I love to give them kisses.  But I don't really like the way mom practically sits on me to make me stay still.  That's rude, in my opinion!

4-8 pm - After school it's time to beg for a share of Maddie's after school snack, go outside, roll in some poop, eat some poop, and bury either my bone or if she's around, the cat!  Then hooray hooray daddy comes home!  I always like to show daddy how much I missed him so I make sure I wail like I'm being beaten with a stick and kiss him like crazy, that way he feels loved!  Daddy and I play then it's time for my dinner and more cat chasing!  But I will tell you something about that cat!  For some crazy reason in the evening she gets it into her head that she can fight back!  I don't know who she thinks she is but she fights back hard and those claws are sharp!  Don't tell anyone, because I have a reputation to protect, but sometimes she makes me cry!  The big bully!

9-11 pm - I help put Maddie to bed by going in  her room, jumping on her bed, stealing her toys, licking her face and creating mayhem!  Despite what mommy says I think I am a great help at bed time and help calm Maddie down so she can sleep! 

Then it's time for me to go to sleep too, I usually bunk down on the couch and I can sleep all night long without peeing!  How cool is that???

So there you have it, my day in a nutshell!  I'm so glad mommy let me write a post in her journal.  Maybe someday she'll even let me create my own group!  I even have a name for it, I'll call it "Poop Eaters Anonymous"!!
