My son was in the road!!! (a little long)

I am so scared!!  I was up all night last night because my 3 year old wouldn't go to sleep.  He didn't go to sleep until 3 am.  By then, I knew there was no point in me going to bed because I had to have my 6 year old up at 6 am to get on the bus.  So, I stayed up until after he went to school and then I laid down at 7 am.  I woke up at 10 because Connor (3 y/o) woke up.  My friend came over and he told me to lay back down because he knew I was tired.  He said he would watch Connor. 

Well, at noon, I woke up because the phone rang.  I didn't answer it in time but I saw on the Caller Id that it was the person that does the yard work for my land lord.  I got up and walked into the living room and my front door is open and Connor is in the yard naked.  There is like 20 people in front of my house.  I ran out in the yard in my tshirt and panties barefoot and grabbed my son and hugged him to me.  One lady yelled at me that my son was in the road and she stopped to make sure he didn't get run over!! 

I thanked her and immediately run in to put a diaper back on my son and call my friend to raise hell!!!  He told me that Connor was in the computer room playing and that he told me he was leaving and I told him okay.  He said that he locked the door and left.  I freaked out!!  I told him that you cannot leave a child up without an adult with them and he should have woke me up!!  I told him that if I am asleep I will carry on a full conversation with someone and still be asleep.  He should have made sure I sat up so I was awake. 

Well, the sheriff showed up and he said that he just wanted to make sure Connor was ok.  I told him that Connor was okay, but I was gonna have a nervous breakdown!!  He said that this kind of thing can happen to any parent who is sleep deprived.  He said that his neice is Connor's age and she can open any lock you put in front of her.  I told him that my husband was going to bring home a chain for that door today or I was going to send him back to the store to get one!!

So, Connor is ok...my nerves are shot....and when my husband gets home, he is probably going to punch my friend in the face....

omg hun i'm so sorry.i would be scared to.if i was ur friend i would have stayed there untill u were up and walking around.i would be kicking my friends ass.
