It seems that we are going back and forth with Noah. We think we figure out what's going on with him and we go through with it and the solution we have never works. Weve gotten a diagnoses for being gifted, we've gotten a diagnoses for ADD.. We started the ADD medicines, they did nothing for him so we stopped them. Last year someone had mention Aspergers to us and the more we looked into it the more it fit Noah too a T. The child thinks on a genius level,is about 500 thoughts ahead of everyone else and can solve problems like noone. He can also remember dates from back when he was 1 1/2 years old.  Yet, he can't get himself dressed, can not write, still can not ride his bike(even with training wheels), and is so socially disfunctional its unbelievable. Weve always thought he was disconnected from reality. Hes always in his own world and his tick in which he rubs his fingers profusously has gotten worse. He has no skin left on his fingers. Sometimes hes so much to deal with and I really have to just step away from him alot before i go nuts. Well anyways, we started up the evaluation for Aspergers last year and got past the worker examining him at school. She called and mentioned to us that she wanted to continue the process because he deffinately had some red flags and let us think about it. Well we ended up calling it off for fear of flagging his name and stuff. So we figured we would just let him be himself and stop worrying about him not being like everyone else. Well as time has went by he seems to have drifted farther off. Just last week in Mcdonalds all the kids (including my youngest) were playing together..super heroes i think it was. Well Noah has always hated anything super heroes. So as usual like in any other social function he isolated himself. He played his own game..Doggy hotel and crawled around barking and going through the doggy wash over and over. One of the kids came up to him and asked him to go down the slide with him. Noah completely ignored him and instead looked at us with a blank stare and said "what?". Its times like that I feel tears swelling up because I feel so bad for him not understanding it all. So Jeremie was talking to someone he works with last night and they started talking about the kids and Jeremie was mentioning Noah and the guy said "huh, thats weird he sounds just like my nephew who had aspergers". The guy told him we needed to get Noah evaluated and diagnosed if thats what he has because otherwise the schools will not work with him. So Jeremie said to track down the ladies number and we can start this all up again. So lets try this all again and see if this time we can find something that works for him. Sorry this ended up being so long...

I hope you find out what's going on with him soon. My youngest is going through all sorts of testing too, it gets frustrating I know. Noah does sound like Aspergers may fit him. My friend's daughter has Aspergers and wasn't diagnosed until she was in college! She does very well now, but she went through some sort of life skills training and therapy. Good luck! I know you guys will get to the bottom of  everything soon! ^.^
