Yesterday at the grocery store, Z was super chatty.  Soon after we arrived she was trying to tell me about something that sounded an awful lot like "candle" and "butt."  Needless to say I about freaked out.  I stopped short and asked "Honey, what did you day?"  She repeated it the exact same way, and again it sounded like "candle" and "butt."  I asked her if she said what I thought and she just repeated what she was trying to tell me again.

This went on several more times and many aisles of the store are a blur.  My heart and head were bursting in sheer madness.

And then I finally caught what she was trying to say, when I caught the tune she ws singing.  "I'm a Little teapot short and stout, here is my CANDLE here is my BUTT."

WHEW!!

That's a lot more frightening than the other day when Claire Bear was singing- Thumbelina, here I go again, my my, how can I resist her...  So funny what kids will come up with when they have to improvise!

I'm glad your heart attack turned out to be for naught!

ROFLMQAO!  That is too funny.  Recently my daughter has been writing her own song lyrics.  Usually the songs are traditional tunes with the lyrics, "no, no, no, no, ..."  Yesterday though she sang, "Yummy, yummy little cookie, how I wonder what you are..."  Kids sing the funniest things!

LOL, that is pretty funny.

we had a friend a few years ago who was a single father. he did his best, but he had the bad habit of cursing in front of the child. one day we came over and there she was, jumping up and down on the couch, singing "Ring around the rosie, f**k a purple pony" I hate to see children cursing, but it was just so funny.
