Half Way Through The First Year

Gabriel has brought so much joy these first 6 months!  It is amazing to see him change and grow, both physically and mentally.  A major light went off when he turned 6 months.  He is sitting up on his own, reaching for everything in sight and just recently started clapping.  He wraps his arms around your neck when you pick him up and trys to kiss back....though his kisses are with a wide open mouth and very, very sloppy. 

During bathtime, he has discovered that kicking makes the water splash, so now I get a bath too!  Diaper changes have gotten a bit more tricky as he has also discovered his toes and apparently likes the way they taste because as soon as you put him on his back, he is trying to get them in his mouth.  Speaking of mouth, that where everything goes now....with the exception of food.  Gabe has decided since mommy and daddy don't eat baby food, it must not be any good so he blows raspberries whenever we try to feed him.  But give him something off of your plate, like a dinner roll, and he will num on it blissfully until he has covered himself in slob and bits of bread!

I wish I could hit pause, but then again, each new stage bring new discoveries and joy into our lives.  I understand now why women start craving another baby as their children grow up.  I am not ready for another pregnancy just yet, but Gabriel definately will not be an only child!

By they way, my belly is now completely gone and I can get into all of my pre-preganacy clothes!  I need to start exercising and tone up, but I am relieved to be back into my old pants again.

Yeah Lizzie loves to blow rasberries and get food all over me n her daddy lol. she has discovered her feet and loves 2 try and eat them.
