On January 1, 2009, Paula Bohovesky would have celebrated her 45th birthday.  We can only imagine the woman she would have become.
Why, what happened to her? On the night of October 28, 1980, Richard LaBarbera and Robert McCain savagely attacked, sexually assaulted, and brutally murdered Paula.
She died never having seen her 17th birthday.
Both men were tried and convicted for the murder of Paula Bohovesky and received the maximum sentence of 25 years to life. They were denied parole in 2005 and 2007, and now are up for parole again in May of 2009.
We believe that those who commit violent sex crimes cannot be trusted not to kill again.  We do not believe that Richard LaBarbera and Robert McCain should be granted parole and we plead with you to help deny it to them. Society has a responsibility to protect the innocent. We cannot afford to lose another Paula.
